Reveries and Realities: The Cosmic Lilt

Cary Senior Center

120 Maury Odell Place
Cary, North Carolina 27513

Opening Reception: Friday, July 27th 6-8pm
Exhibition on display July 23-August 24

In Reveries and Realities: The Cosmic Lilt, Pittsboro artist Heather Gerni meshes everyday rational imagery with fantasy. Her vibrant dreamscapes and creatures are created through Intuitive Painting, a process in which neither the composition nor the subject matter is planned. Instead, each layer of paint informs the next lending way for stories and characters to naturally emerge and evolve. These works explore the dynamic or the dance between the unconscious and the conscious, between our reveries and our realities.
